The SAWAS Program, Package 2 – Long Seridan, Long Peluan and Kalampun, Lawas Raw Water Treatment works is built with the intended usage for human consumption. The final treated water is chemically and bacteriology safe and meets the Drinking Water guidelines as outlined by Ministry of Health (MOH), Malaysia.

Residents in Kampung Kalampun, Lawas can now enjoy the treated water 24 hours after the implementation of this SAWAS project by the Government of Sarawak. The official launching ceremony was held on the 25th of February 2019, officiated by the Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan at Kalampun, Lawas.
